A Time To Be

Life can be a rush to and from work, you may also be working towards getting qualifications in order to live the life of your dream. There could be a wide variety of reasons why you may want to achieve the things you desire in life; but do you have time just to “be”?

What could it mean to “be”, perhaps this could be time at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day when you have your personal space, may be a time when you can reflect on the direction that your life is taking. If we consider that people who tend to get to where they want in life could in fact know where they are going. Mr Hill in his book “Think and Grow Rich” spoke about “organised plans” as one of the things that can assist a person in finding success in life. So it could be important to plan time to allow you to reflect and work out the direction in your life.

A Balanced Life

It could be said that it is important to have good balance in life. If you consider the body, if the body works continually without rest, the body could end up becoming ill. So the fact that rest is needed is an essential part of life. If you consider machinery you would notice that if it is used continually without maintenance it could eventually become damaged. So even with your body you need to take time for maintenance. This could be time to eat well, rest, sleep and recreation just like a machine the body must be looked after.

Cause and effect

It has been noted by a number of thinkers that the things that you do in your life will have an effect on the things that happen in your life. The person who is healthy becomes healthy due to the habit of doing healthy things. For example the food you eat will have an effect on your body, and the way you think will allow you to take certain actions. So it is essential that you consider the things that you are doing as this will have an effect on the things that happen in your life. If you ever become ill it could be useful to ask yourself this question, what is my body trying to tell me? It may be that you need to change some of the things that you are doing in life. So look at what you are currently doing and consider that effect that those things may be having on your life.

Reflection

So could it be useful to spend some time during your day or week to reflect on how your life is going, time to think about ensuring that you are not doing things that could have a harmful effect on your life. It has been said that meditation is a useful way to focus the mind and to build concentration. It has been said by a number of writers that meditation is useful in achieving more from life. So could meditation be a useful way to reflect on the things happening in your life.

So would it be useful for you to set aside time during your day just to be, time to appreciate the things you have achieved so far in life. A time to enjoy the moment. –  Thoughts to Make you Think –
